What the i2000 is
The Insurice i2000 is a dedicated filtration system engineered specifically for commercial ice machines. It delivers 0.5-micron Micro-Pure II filtration to remove chlorine, chloramines, cysts and particulates, with integrated scale inhibition protecting evaporator plates and distribution systems. It is certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53 for aesthetic and health-effects contaminant reduction, which keeps regulated environments audit-ready.
How Micro-Pure II works
At the core of the cartridge is a tightly wound precoat media that captures particles to 0.5 micron, fine enough to stop microbial cysts, combined with activated carbon for chlorine taste and odour. The scale inhibitor is the commercially significant part: scale on evaporator plates is the primary cause of reduced ice yield and early compressor strain, and preventing it is far cheaper than treating it.
Configurations
The Single i2000 provides roughly 34,000 litres (9,000 US gallons) of rated capacity at a service flow of 1.67 gallons per minute, suiting mainstream cubers and flakers. Twin configurations double capacity and flow for larger machines, and PF variants add sediment pre-filtration, the configuration we lean towards on Kuwait's tank-fed buildings where particulate loads run higher than the mains-fed assumptions.
